Role Description

We are seeking an experienced mechanical systems engineer to contribute to the success of our team by developing and maintaining aircraft systems.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in engineering and significant experience in aviation engineering, with a focus on technical services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and approving technical artefacts for aircraft systems.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis on data to identify trends and opportunities to increase dispatch reliability.
  • Interacting with stakeholders from operators, contractors, and regulatory bodies to support customer needs.
  • Leading engineering-based projects in support of aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Working towards gaining engineering authority and delegations on aircraft platforms.
Requirements

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering meeting Engineers Australia (MIEAust) requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in aviation engineering focused on technical services.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or eligible to obtain.
