About the Position
Bond University, a leading independent institution based on the Gold Coast, seeks an exceptional individual to join its Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine as a Clinical Skills Educator.
This role is part of the Bond University Medical Program, which comprises two sequential degrees: the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Doctor of Medicine. The program has full accreditation with the Australian Medical Council and prioritizes delivering a high-quality student experience.
As a Clinical Skills Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Year 3 Clinical Practice and contributing to curriculum development. You will also engage in research activities that support the program's needs and enhance your scholarship.
The ideal candidate will possess current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia and a PhD or other post-graduate qualification in a relevant field. Alternatively, they may have substantial professional competence, clinical skills, and experience, justifying exceptions to degree requirements.
A successful track record of effective teaching, academic administration, and developing experience in relevant research, coupled with strong evidence of scholarship, are essential qualifications for this position. Additionally, the ability to work in teams with academics from multiple disciplines is crucial.
Salary Details
The salary for this position ranges from $154,787 (FTE) per annum for Assistant Professor (Level A), plus 11.5% superannuation, up to $130,234 (FTE) per annum for Assistant Professor (Level B), also including 11.5% superannuation. The Selection Panel will determine the level of appointment based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
