Job Title

We are seeking a motivated and skilled LNG operator to join our team at the Santos GLNG plant on Curtis Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing operational and minor maintenance duties to maintain the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of the LNG facility.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations to make the area/Plant safe
  • Operate Process and Utility areas safely and efficiently within defined operating limits to meet daily production targets, volume, quality and yield.
  • Perform work aligning with the definition of minor maintenance within their competence. Records all work aligned with the site maintenance management system.
  • Identify and reports workplace hazards, incidents and near misses and takes action to control hazards.
  • Enhances equipment and unit reliability by adopting sound operating practices
  • Maintain effective communication with shift team members and others, including well documented and structured shift handovers
  • Issue work permits and perform gas testing, ensuring that maintenance and project activities are conducted in compliance with the Santos Work Permit Procedure (SWPP).
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance and project work and ensure equipment is isolated in compliance with Equipment Isolation procedures and SWPP. Recommissions equipment when complete
  • Participate in shutdown and turnaround planning and execution, including development of procedures and shutdown work packs

What You'll Bring:

  • Cert III or IV in Process Plant Technology and the ability to obtain a MSIC Security Card
  • Trade background within process industry will be highly regarded
