About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Lending Specialist to join our team at Great Southern Bank. As a key member of our retail network, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our purpose of helping all Australians own their own home.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers and their retail banking and lending needs.
  • Work closely with your Branch Manager to promote the Great Southern Bank Brand and purpose to our existing and future customers.
  • Manage and own your home loans through to completion, grow your pipeline, and constantly scan for opportunities to help all Australians own their own home.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Great Southern Bank's lending and ancillary products, and adopt sales strategies aligned with the divisional business plan.

Your Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage lending/credit assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with all banking products.
  • Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and pursue leads and obtain business through network activities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a proven ability to apply cross-selling techniques for products and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer and sales focus.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex financial problems.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong connections with your team.
  • Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management.
