About the role:

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced boilermaker/metal fabricator to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, selecting suitable materials, and using jigs, clamps, and other tools to perform the work.

You will also ensure that all work is done safely, following proper procedures and enforcing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape, measure, and cut materials accurately and efficiently
  • Select the best materials for each project, considering factors such as durability, cost, and sustainability
  • Interpret complex technical drawings to identify specifications and requirements
  • Weld metal parts together to form strong and durable structures
  • Build metal components into finished products, paying attention to detail and quality
  • Use specialized tools, such as jigs and clamps, to perform tasks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and industry regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in heavy welding within the trailers, caravans, truck body industry or similar
  • A qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator certification
  • Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and principles
  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being within the workplace
