Clinical Health Specialist

This role is part of the Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service (BBV and SH) in Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The service focuses on at-risk population groups and aims to promote health and well-being through education, support, and prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote, educate, and support clinicians and other health professionals in conducting contact tracing for sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
- Provide direct support for complex contact tracing scenarios as required.
- Contribute to the public health management of STIs/BBVs by staying up-to-date with contemporary approaches to contact tracing.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Completion of a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program course approved by relevant authorities, with ability to complete requirements for recognition as an Advanced Practise Nurse within a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program.
- Delegated authority to perform the role of Contact Tracer, or willingness to obtain delegated authority.
Total remuneration package of up to $13,684 per month.
Vaccine Preventable Diseases Requirements:It is a condition of employment to be vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases.
