Job Description

The Marine Service Superintendent provides technical support/consultant service to dealers, internal and external customers, enhancing user satisfaction, contributing to profit, and promoting global service contracts and related parts sales.

  • Responsible for monitoring overall performance and field service of products to reduce warranty costs, service-related costs, and meet customer needs worldwide.
  • Identifies problems, investigates causes, establishes priorities for resolution, defines problems in terms of observed symptoms, researches available data, and identifies root cause.
  • Develops plans for fixing problems, including validation, publishes corrective action, and fixes address both production and field requirements.
  • Monitors results after change, initiates product improvement through PIP/PSP warranty program preparation to address commercial/business impact of field problems.
  • Prepares and distributes technical publications to identify problems, communicate resolutions, and announce product improvements.
Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a technical/engineering background, several years of field service experience (preferably Caterpillar), considerable technical, product, and service knowledge of a wide range of Marine products and their systems.

A strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, good engineering background, effective communication skills, ability to organize work, and persuasiveness are also required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per yearBenefits
