We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Portfolio Manager to join our Iron Ore Digital leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a Digital Portfolio Office to provide governance, best practices, and support for digital projects.

You will maintain consistent project management methodologies, tools, and processes across the Digital Team and broader RTIO. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining the RTIO digital strategy and roadmap aligned with RTIO's business objectives.

Key responsibilities include leading the digital prioritization process, evaluating and ranking digital projects based on strategic alignments, ROI, resource availability, and risk. You will also develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan to keep stakeholders informed about the progress and impact of digital initiatives.

Additionally, you will oversee budgeting, financial planning, and vendor management for digital projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. You will establish and maintain a risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with digital initiatives.

As a Digital Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing escalations, risks, and issues arising from delivery within or outside of the Iron Ore Digital portfolio. You will also coach and develop the capability of the Portfolio and Governance team.

A strategic thinker able to develop and execute digital strategies and identify future opportunities is essential.

Relevant experience and qualifications in Portfolio Management, Project Prioritization, Project Delivery, or Information Technology are required. You will have an understanding of digital technologies and IT infrastructure as it applies to the mining sector. Commercially savvy in managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships with a focus on risk management and assurance is also necessary.

A strong leader with a collaborative mindset, able to guide cross-functional teams and adapt to the evolving digital landscape, is required. Skilled communication, able to effectively convey digital strategies, progress, and value to diverse stakeholders, is also essential.

Commitment to ongoing professional practice development, leveraging professional networks and industry associations inside and outside of Rio Tinto, is necessary. Presence and influence across various levels of leadership, leveraging robust negotiation and conflict resolution skills, is also required.

Practical experience or qualifications in Agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Agile) and Azure DevOps, Microsoft suite, including SharePoint, are highly desirable.
