Wellness and Academic Leader Position
">This is a part-time opportunity (0.7 FTE) commencing in 2025 at our institution.
">About the Role
">The Director of Wellness and Academic Leader will oversee the teaching and learning of Health, Human Development, and Food Studies. They will contribute to the broader positive culture of our school and possess proven leadership skills.
">The successful candidate will be an exceptional educator and leader who can teach up to VCE level. They must be passionate about engaging and motivating students and possess strong interpersonal skills.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Lead the department, including Health, Health and Human Development, VCE Psychology, and Food Studies from Year 7 to VCE.
- Deliver a vibrant curriculum and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in this area.
- Manage a school kitchen and food technology area.
- Support teaching staff to modify materials and curriculum for students.
- Provide the highest quality pastoral care for students and staff.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engage in the broader life of the School.
- Encourage students to take risks within a structured school environment.
Requirements
">- Strong leadership, staff management, and mentoring skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and support staff through periods of curriculum and operational change.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Current VIT registration.
- Relevant qualifications.
