Lead Academic - Modern History

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Modern History department and contribute to the development of academic programs for Years 7 to 12.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Sustaining excellence in the teaching of History as a discipline.
  • Curriculum development and administration of History programs.
  • Fostering a collaborative culture within the department.

The Lead Academic works collaboratively with other History-based faculty members.

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

  • Excellent teaching practice.
  • Expert knowledge of curriculum compliance standards.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A comprehensive understanding of teaching History.
  • Experience in curriculum and assessment development.
  • Leadership and collaborative skills.
  • A current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
