We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Track Work Supervisor to join our team at Racing and Wagering Western Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of track work activities at Lark Hill, while enforcing Rules of Racing and regulations applicable to track work and trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce Rules and Regulations at track work and trials, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Collect and analyze data related to track use by trainers, providing insights to inform decision-making.
  • Process track fees and ensure accurate accounting.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to trainers and jockeys on track rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular track inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Brief new track riders on track safety protocols and procedures.
  • Report any safety issues or concerns to the Track Manager/Curator Lark Hill.
  • Ensure all users of the site are aware of and comply with track rules and regulations.
  • Investigate and report any breaches of the Rules of Racing and Lark Hill Track rules to Stewards/Racing Integrity.
  • Assist with branding and marking on trial days.
  • Coordinate fast work and jump outs on designated days.
  • Provide first aid assistance as needed and assist in any horse-related incidents.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in horse handling and management.
  • Knowledge of various types of horse gear and equipment.
  • Understanding of the Rules of Racing and track regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Completion of Year 10.
