Weather Systems Engineer

The Bureau's Operational Technology and Engineering (OTE) Section is responsible for developing, delivering, and operating measurement equipment and systems that meet the Bureau's performance and functional requirements.
This role supports the Bureau's current and future network of Automatic Weather Stations, encompassing physical and electrical interfaces, software, and field/operational implementation.
">Key Responsibilities- Design and develop engineering solutions to support the Bureau's measurement needs.
- Implement and maintain Automatic Weather Station networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and operation.
As a member of the OTE Section, you will contribute to the development and delivery of critical weather forecasting and warning capabilities.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need expertise in engineering and technology, incorporating level three support across a range of technologies.
Key qualifications include:
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Additionally, you will have experience with design and development of engineering solutions, as well as implementation and maintenance of complex technical systems.
