About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join our team at KBR Inc. as a Senior Fire Safety Engineer.

This is a key role within our Infrastructure Solutions Australia business, where you will contribute to the success of our projects and help us deliver leading science, technology, and engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and ensure the technical accuracy and adequacy of fire safety engineering deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver technical data packages that embody the design, specification, and engineering services related to fire engineering.
  • Interface closely with fire services protection designers and other engineering disciplines within KBR and externally as required.
  • Plan and budget allocated design packages, organize and control stakeholders, and contribute to third-party management.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Fire Safety Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, delegate, and manage design work scope.
  • Project management and proposal preparation experience, along with the ability to write clearly and fluently about technical subjects or project delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modeling using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Possess or be eligible and willing to obtain CPEng, NER, and RPEV, RPEQ, BDC, or equivalent within 6 months.
  • Business acumen, awareness of financial, time, and budgetary constraints and realities are expected from the candidate, on par with the role's standing.
  • Maintains curiosity and interest to continuously improve technical knowledge and skills.
