Project Coordinator Role

This is a critical position within our organization that involves overseeing and managing projects to ensure successful delivery.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers: Take active ownership of project technical on-site and off-site requirements, providing crucial support to the project team.
  • Critically Review Client Project Engineering Drawings: Develop required Alfabs project technical deliverables by thoroughly reviewing client project engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Develop Project Installation Documents: Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Manager to develop project installation documents that clearly outline project construction requirements for the site construction team.
  • Develop Installation Methodologies: Create installation methodologies for inclusive fabrication, yard assembly, and modular transport.
  • Ensure Project Specification Compliance: Work closely with the client project engineering team and suppliers to guarantee project specification compliance.
  • Deliver and Manage Subcontract Shop Drawing Development: Deliver and effectively manage subcontract shop drawing development.
  • Review and Maintain Project Risk Registers: Identify any construction or installation engineering risks that require engineering support to resolve/mitigate by reviewing and maintaining project risk registers.
  • Monitor Job Progress and Provide Feedback: Monitor job progress and provide feedback to the production team, including safety observations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years experience in a similar role in a similar industry.
  • Site-Based Experience: Site-based experience in an industrial environment.
  • Understanding of Trades and Disciplines: Understanding of trades and disciplines involved in site operations.
  • Project Management and Organisational Skills: Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Construction Project Management: Proven experience in managing construction projects, particularly in the field of site services.
  • Interpreting Steel Fabrication Drawings: Ability to interpret steel fabrication drawings and symbols.
  • Design Drawings: Thorough understanding of design drawings.
  • Negotiation and Customer Service Skills: Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Trade Qualifications: Trade Qualifications.
  • Drafting Experience: Drafting experience.
  • ERP Use Experience: ERP use experience.
  • Driver's Licence: Driver's licence.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a related area.
