Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for executing on programs of work that provide vital assessment, design and implementation of regulatory compliance engagements for some of Australia's largest and most significant financial services entities.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of how financial services entities and markets operate and are regulated domestically and globally. You will be experienced in conducting reviews and assessments to identify gaps and formulate appropriate and pragmatic recommendations. Additionally, you will have experience developing and implementing compliance and governance operating models, risk control frameworks and policies and procedures within complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Executing on programs of work to assess and benchmark clients' compliance operating models against regulatory requirementsDeveloping and implementing frameworks, policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsProviding advisory services to clients on achieving class-leading capabilities in regulatory complianceMentoring and coaching junior team members to develop their skills and expertise

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 3 years experience in financial markets compliance, either as a regulator or within a markets compliance teamA good understanding of how financial services entities and markets operate and are regulated domestically and globallyExperience conducting reviews and assessments to identify gaps and formulate appropriate and pragmatic recommendationsExperience developing and implementing compliance and governance operating models, risk control frameworks and policies and procedures within complex environmentsSound project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneouslyEffective leadership skills to lead and manage junior team members, ensuring consistent and high quality output
