Job Description

As a Social Content Producer, you will contribute to the development of high-quality creative content across various digital channels. This role involves identifying opportunities for provision and creating engaging content to extend storytelling across social media.

You will provide advice and input into campaign execution, champion innovation and creativity within our social communities, and effectively manage priority work and stakeholder needs. Your goal is to deliver high-quality creative products that enable achievement of strategic objectives.

This position requires working closely with colleagues, minister's offices, and relevant business areas. Ensuring all content is clear, engaging, and timely, aligned to our digital strategy and strategic plan is key.

The role may also require providing surge support to other portfolios during emergency, crisis, and peak periods.

  1. Edit, write, and design engaging social content across all departmental channels in accordance with the social media strategy and editorial plan.
  2. Identify positive story opportunities for provision across digital platforms, managing risks and issues that may be contentious.
  3. Support channel planning, rich media content development, and Communications and Engagement Branch strategy and services activity.
  4. Foster strong connections with stakeholders and work cross-functionally with other members of the Communications and Engagement Branch.
  5. Provide advice and assistance to departmental staff, senior executives, and minister's offices on social media services.
  6. Support digital literacy by advising colleagues on integrating social media into communications strategies.
