Senior Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our Toowoomba office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality accounting and taxation services to a mixture of clients, working autonomously in managing the client set and running the day-to-day activities of the practice.

This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, diversity, and working closely with clients. You will be responsible for your clients and ensuring their compliance obligations (BAS, Financial Statements, taxation obligations) are met, and provide taxation and business consulting advice to a range of interesting and diverse client businesses and entities, including self-managed superannuation.

Experience with XERO, MYOB, and other Accounting products is desired (HandiSoft Practice Management Software would be advantageous).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality accounting and taxation services to clients
  • Manage client relationships and ensure compliance obligations are met
  • Provide taxation and business consulting advice to clients
  • Experience with XERO, MYOB, and other Accounting products

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years public practice experience in taxation, accounting, and superannuation
  • Experience with the HandiSoft range of Public Practice Software, MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero, and BGL Superannuation Software
  • Experience in preparing SMSF accounts and returns and providing SMSF advice
