Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity">

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to lead the development of electrical design packages for large-scale renewable projects.

  • Develop and review procurement specifications for HV/MV/LV equipment, inverters, BESS system, protection, SCADA and control systems.
  • Prepare site layout, general arrangement, SLD, elevation, and required drawings as well as cable schedule.
  • Engage contractors, integrators, suppliers, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders for project development and constructions.
  • Support tender/procurement process and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Interface with technical teams for discussions.
  • Travel to remote sites for project inspection and surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electrical design packages for large-scale renewable projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NSPs, AEMO, EPCs, OEMs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years' experience in either HV electrical design, grid connection, and project delivery for large-scale renewable projects.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and PVSYST.
  • Understanding of HV substations (33–330kV), transmission line design and protection systems.
  • Familiarity with EPC contracts and construction technical support.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
