This is a permanent position for a Graduate or Junior Lawyer. The role involves supporting senior legal counsels and providing legal advice to the organisation under their guidance.
- Review and interpret legislation relating to the Coal Long Service Leave Scheme.
- Provide legal advice on employer compliance under the Coal LSL scheme and implement regulatory processes.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the legislative regime governing the Coal LSL scheme.
- Complete allocated tasks to a high standard, including seeking guidance and reporting progress.
- Assist with evidence review, undertake legal research and analysis, and prepare clear memorandums and correspondence.
- Actively contribute to engagement with employers and employees concerning legal and regulatory issues.
- Liaise with external legal providers by preparing briefs and reviewing advice.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support performance of regulatory functions.
- Ability to read and interpret legislation and case law.
- Produce quality legal analysis and advice using strong analytical skills.
- Analyse complex issues and implement strategic solutions.
- Attention to detail and methodical work processes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
