Advanced Process Specialist

The Graduate Metallurgist will gain hands-on and office-based experience across multiple gold processing plants. This role provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to develop into a well-rounded metallurgist with a long-term career in the industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Gaining exposure to multiple processing plants, with four plants producing over 5mtpa combined.
- Participating in plant optimisation and all processing functions.
- Involvement in metallurgical procedures and sampling.
- Receiving mentoring and guidance from experienced mining professionals.
We are looking for candidates with a Tertiary Qualification in Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering, practical experience or vacation work, strong computer literacy skills, excellent communication skills with all levels of operation, and a current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
- Tertiary Qualification in Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.

- A current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
- A National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months.
- The ability to pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and right to work checks.
