Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of complex civil engineering projects. This exciting opportunity will involve working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and project success.

  • Design Delivery: The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to design delivery from feasibility studies and concept design to detailed design and construction.
  • Team Coordination: They will coordinate small project teams and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Presentation Skills: The candidate will present concepts and designs to clients and senior management, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Technical Quality Assurance: They will conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all design deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Report Writing: The candidate will produce high-quality technical reports that clearly articulate project progress and outcomes.
  • Client Engagement: They will participate in client workshops and communicate with key government stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Project Management: The candidate will manage selected projects, meeting budgetary, quality, and timeframe targets.

Key Qualifications:

  • Highly regarded technical report writing competency.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple projects at once, coordinating design teams and liaising with clients.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Ability to present design options and decisions effectively.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working on Urban Development projects within South East Qld. or Northern NSW.

Desirable Accreditations:

  • RPEQ or working towards this accreditation is highly advantageous.
