About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quarry Manager to lead our operations at Bunbury Quarry in Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the quarry's operations, including safety, environment, plant, and equipment, to achieve annual financial targets and deliver on customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives.
  • Make strategic business decisions that impact the overall performance of the quarry, including financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including quarry development, stormwater and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Focus on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation as a responsible and sustainable partner in the community.
  • Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high-risk activities to reduce risk exposure for self and others.
About You
  • You have a strong safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of Quarry Management/Supervisory experience in a hard rock quarry.
  • You must hold the relevant qualifications/notice to meet the current requirements under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (or be able to obtain one by meeting the criteria).
  • Diploma in Extractive Industries or relevant tertiary qualifications (Mining, Geology, Engineering, Construction, or similar) will be seen favourably.
  • An ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning.
  • A strong Leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
  • The capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
  • You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
