Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the development and management of enterprise solutions. This role involves guiding the development and management of enterprise solutions across business capabilities, value streams, and processes to ensure technology solutions align with strategic goals and architectural standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To translate business strategy into solution architecture aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Analyzing industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Providing architectural deliverables to support governance and investment decisions.
  • Leading the design and evaluation of solution architectures across applications and technologies.
  • Developing reference architectures and contextual designs to guide development.
  • Defining principles, standards, and patterns to ensure architectural compliance.
  • Supporting product lifecycle decisions including maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
  • Monitoring solution portfolios and recommending improvements.
  • Consulting on infrastructure and application development to align with architecture.
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement and supporting communities of practice.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Solution Architect.
  • Tertiary qualification in technology, engineering or a related field is considered desirable.
  • Exposure to diverse technologies and platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management practices.
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Confident presenting to senior executives and technical audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to the defence, manufacturing or shipping industry (ideal but not essential).
  • A Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1.
