Arboriculture Career Starter

Elevate your career by joining our team as a trainee climber. In this role, you will learn and develop industry-leading climbing and rigging techniques from experienced professionals while working on challenging projects.

Your day-to-day tasks will include climbing trees and using equipment to trim vegetation at heights and around powerlines. As a member of our crew, you will work alongside another climber and take turns acting as Safety Observer/Ground worker.

We offer competitive pay rates, a climbing allowance ($60 per day), and 12.0% Super. Our training program covers tree climbing techniques and safe use of rigging and climbing equipment. You will also enjoy a work-life balance with fortnightly rostered days off (RDO) and access to an employee assist program (EAP). Additionally, we provide ongoing training and development opportunities, uniform and PPE, staff loan options, and the chance to acquire your own climbing equipment.

About you: We are seeking individuals with knowledge of the vegetation/arboriculture industry who are physically fit and not afraid of heights. A Cert 3 in Arboriculture is highly regarded, while a General Construction Safety White Card is essential. Manual drivers licenses unrestricted and valid are also required, with MR Truck licenses being desirable. Your skills should include operating chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment. You must be safety-conscious, have excellent teamwork skills, and be confident in interacting professionally with clients and community members.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
