Seeking a seasoned commissioning engineer to lead the delivery of high-voltage substation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-discipline complex grid connection projects and a strong background in engineering design, build & commission operating environments.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team as a senior commissioning engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and precise commissioning of substation primary plant and secondary systems.

  • Manage commissioning and integration of substation projects through provision of testing and commissioning services by internal staff and external contractors.
  • Ensure procedural technical compliance and risk analysis components are delivered efficiently, within scope.
  • Leverage your industry expertise to provide professional engineering advice relating to substation commissioning and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

As a senior commissioning engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing commissioning plans, outage plans, inspection and test plans, and secondary works programs for staging and management of substation primary plant and secondary system commissioning projects.
  • Articulating and communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships at all levels and successfully negotiating with and influencing senior level stakeholders.

About You

We are seeking a dedicated, driven, and hard-working individual who possesses:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category.
  • Full working rights within Australia essential.
  • 8+ years of experience in the delivery of multi-discipline complex high-voltage grid connection projects with a background in an engineering design, build & commission operating environment.
