Job Title: Sand Operations Director

At our organisation, we seek a highly skilled professional to lead the planning and execution of open-pit mining operations. This is a unique opportunity for career growth and development in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control efficient and safe open-pit mining operations by organisational policies and associated statutory laws and regulations.
  • Identify and manage principal mining hazards.
  • Enforce safety procedures and compliance.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and plant.
  • Lead inductions and training for staff and contractors.
  • Conduct audits and drive continuous safety improvements.
  • Lead mining, production, and operational activities across the site.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and maintenance to ensure efficient output.
  • Enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Supervise contractors and staff, ensuring training and compliance.
  • Plan mine development and contribute to capital works and plant upgrades.
  • Maintain strong employee and industrial relations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reporting across all operational areas.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mining, quarrying, manufacturing, mineral processing, engineering, or a closely related production environment.
  • Proven successful supervision and leadership skill performance.
  • Appropriate current licenses and tickets to drive and/or operate company-owned vehicles, plant, or equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budget and cost control.
  • Able to pass a company-arranged pre-employment medical examination and maintain an appropriate level of medical fitness.
