About Our Graduate Program

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our team as Human-Centred Design (HCD) Graduates.

The program is designed for recent graduates with a strong passion for design, technology and innovation. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

As an HCD Graduate, you will be part of a dynamic team that works on projects aimed at improving the lives of Queenslanders. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in human-centred design, working closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting team members in developing high-quality standards for a whole-of-government HCD approach
  • Conducting research on HCD best practice to inform the design of HCD tools, guides and training offerings
  • Creating content for social media and news channels
  • Communicating with key stakeholders regarding HCD initiatives
  • Supporting HCD projects including planning, stakeholder engagement sessions and idea development

Ideal Candidates

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent interpersonal and liaison skills, empathy and ability to innovate and deliver ideas. Strong organisational skills and problem-solving skills are also essential. Effective communication and time management skills are critical, as well as strong project management skills and ability to produce detailed and accurate work.

Career Progression

Our graduates have a high rate of career progression within the Queensland Government, with many advancing to senior roles after completing the program.
