Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of the clinical governance framework and designing, rolling out, and evaluating quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust clinical governance framework.
  • Design and roll out quality improvement initiatives to drive better patient outcomes.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Report quality outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight on accreditation, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with national safety and quality standards.
  • Support staff safety and quality capability building.
  • Represent quality and safety in the state leadership team.
  • Contribute to national quality projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with postgraduate qualifications in healthcare management or quality.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment with ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Working knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
  • Experience with quality systems, SharePoint/Intranet, and risk/incident management tools.
  • Strong background in developing and delivering training in quality and safety.
  • Expertise in document standardisation, internal audit, compliance, and process mapping.
  • Proven analytical and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
