Job Title: Senior Project Leader

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned project leader to drive the execution of implementation and ad-hoc project delivery requests. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities
  • Create, optimize, and drive structured schedules, resourcing, and milestone project plans
  • Set and meet deadlines with quality deliverables, adapting and modifying plans based on changing data or conditions
  • Assist in planning to ensure that projects track to resources, timeframes, and budget constraints
  • Track open issues and negotiate to impact decisions and trade-offs to guide issues within internal and external groups to resolution
  • Manage multiple projects in varying sizes ranging from 8 weeks to 12 months
  • Facilitate impact analysis activities where required to manage changes to scope, time, and cost following standard Change Control processes
  • Hold program team members accountable for their commitments, milestones, resources, and deliverables
  • Anticipate, identify, document, and manage key program risks, proposing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans and communicating in a timely manner to stakeholders and senior management
  • Manage external stakeholders
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience working in a software environment within Professional Services
  • Experience delivering projects to external clients and engaging with third parties to deliver projects
  • Strong experience in working with Professional Services accounting systems including time, cost, and invoice management
  • Strong planning acumen and self-starter that clearly prioritizes against delivery goals
  • Communication strengths to anticipate needs and ensure teams have the information they need to be effective, presenting effectively to executives and cross-functional leaders
  • Analytic and strategic thinking based on deriving insights from disparate pieces of information and translating those insights into action and mitigation plans
  • Strong decision-making skills despite ambiguous data and situations, considering upstream and downstream operational impacts as decision inputs and balancing long-term versus short-term objectives
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with proven ability to establish priorities and achieve results with very strong communication skills
  • BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related area highly regarded but not essential
  • Project Management Professional certification

This is a mid-senior level full-time role with the industry. The salary range is A$130,000 - A$150,000 per annum.
