About the Role

CareSouth is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Payroll Officer to join our payroll team in a part-time, permanent capacity.

This pivotal role will involve working collaboratively within the payroll team, reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end payroll processing for salaried and casual staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accurate data entry into the HRIS database, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Interpreting Award and employee contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a payroll or accounts related role, with a strong understanding of finance software systems.
  • Advanced computer literacy, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond to and resolve complex queries.
  • Proficient organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check clearance.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or working towards, with a strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
