Academic Theologian

Job Summary:

The Presbyterian Theological College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Theologian to join our team as a Lecturer in Theological Studies. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of the next generation of Christian leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor students in the discipline of historical and systematic theology, equipping them with a deep understanding of the doctrines of Scripture and their application in the Church.
• Contribute to the development of research publications at a world-class level, advancing the field of theological studies and promoting the Reformed faith.
• Collaborate with the Presbyterian Church of Victoria to engage with theological and ministry issues, providing expert guidance and support.
• Embody and promote the Reformed faith, as embodied in the confessional standard of the Presbyterian Church of Australia.

Requirements:

• Research doctoral degree in theology or a related field.
• Ministerial standing with the Presbyterian Church of Australia or willingness to satisfy the requirements of the General Assembly of Australia.
• Proven track record of research publication and academic excellence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues.
