Pastoral Care Volunteer Opportunity
">We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to provide spiritual support and companionship to an elderly gentleman living in Mona Vale. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening and empathy.
">The role involves visiting the client on a regular basis, engaging in conversations about their life experiences, interests, and values. This may include discussions about sports, travel, history, and other topics of mutual interest.
">To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to build rapport and trust with the client. You will also require the skills to actively listen, ask open-ended questions, and provide supportive responses.
">This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life, while also developing your own skills and knowledge in pastoral care.
">Requirements
">You will need to be at least 18 years old and have a National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us plus NDIS Worker Screening Check.
">Skills and Qualifications
">- High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
">- Pastoral Care training, such as Chaplaincy or Clinical Pastoral Education.
