Job Role Overview

As a Volunteer, you will play a vital part in supporting carers and family members to make positive changes in their lives. Your key responsibilities will include welcoming new people, providing centre information, collecting attendee details, assisting speakers, and offering a supportive approach.

  • Welcoming and engaging with new attendees
  • Providing an overview of our centre's activities and services
  • Collecting contact details of carers and supporters who attend the centre
  • Assisting facilitators with group activities and workshops
  • Providing a warm and inclusive environment
  • Participating in groups as a lived experience supporter or family member
What We Look For
  • Personal experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges
  • A non-judgmental and empathetic attitude
  • A valid Australian driver's license (if applicable)
  • Current or willingness to obtain necessary background checks
