Job Title: Occupational Health Specialist

Job Description:

The Occupational Health Specialist will provide professional services based on the needs and goals of aging clients. This role requires travel around Canberra to deliver a holistic, person-centred approach to support clients' mobility, functional capacity, independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Home modification reports and assessments
  • Aids/equipment recommendations for optimal client use
  • Occupational therapy interventions and education for improved outcomes
  • Health promotion activities and advice to enhance client well-being
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates ensuring up-to-date emergency response skills
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for efficient travel
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience working in Aged Care environments enhancing expertise
  • Strong communication and customer service skills fostering effective relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
  • Proficiency in conducting health screenings and functional assessments
