The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Building Partners Recruitment Pty Ltd. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of all Electrical projects within your portfolio, adhering to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to meet revenue, profit targets, and KPIs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing tenders, submitting bids, and ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority guidelines.
  • Interpreting building plans, regulations, and codes of practice to direct progress of works, ensuring that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used.
  • Providing monthly reports on project costs, performance, and margins.
  • Resolving contract value discrepancies, ensuring compliance with PMO processes, and accurately setting up new projects in project management systems.
  • Conducting site visits to review project progression, resolving issues, and updating construction programs and forecasts as required in line with physical and financial targets.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies, as well as leading safety initiatives and promoting adherence to the Safety Cardinal Rules within your field team.
  • Monitoring industrial relations and safety activities and managing employees and subcontractors to maintain good working relationships with employees, trade unions, and industry associations.
  • Effectively managing team members under your supervision, including performance management, well-being support, and the security of material and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of Project Management experience (Project Management qualification preferred).
  • Strong leadership abilities with conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective multitasking skills to manage various projects.
  • Capability to thrive in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Resident (PR) or working rights.
