We are seeking a Risk Specialist - Process Safety Expert to join our Risk team based in Sydney, focusing on Process Safety Risk in the NSW market. This role can be appointed on either full-time or part-time basis and will be hybrid.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Operating across a wide variety of markets and learning opportunities to provide innovative risk solutions to clients
  • Performing and leading services including a range of risk assessments such as Safety in Design, HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, QRA, for the Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Water, Power Generation and Transmission, Government, Transport and Petrochemical sectors
  • Performing technical risk modelling using various risk and consequence software under the direction of executive advisors; Training in the use of specific risk software will be provided but previous experience in PHAST, SAFETI, @Risk, PHAPro is highly desirable
  • Maintaining existing and building new client relationships and networks
  • Managing projects and ensuring they are completed within budget and contractual obligations
  • Promoting relationships with existing and potential clients, increasing business by improving client relationships and encouraging repeat business through exceptional client service
  • Preparing concise, accurate and focused written analysis, recommendations and presentations under the direction of the team's executive advisors

In return, you'll bring your expertise to the table:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or Science related to process safety (Chemical, Mechanical preferred) or similar discipline
  • 3 to 7 years' industry experience in a recognised consulting, chemical processing, heavy industry, corporate or regulatory environment
  • Experience working in a risk, audit, governance or compliance position
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills

Earn an estimated $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus additional benefits.
