Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support to the Executive General Manager and Managers in the Strategy, Investments & Acquisitions (M&A) team, who are responsible for Group strategy, investigating and executing Group transactions and managing the Group's investment portfolio (joint venture and associate equity interests).
  • Develop and review financial models for investments, divestments or acquisitions forecasting and evaluation purposes.
  • Monitor industry developments, economic drivers and competitor activity relevant to investment, divestment and acquisition decisions.
  • Assist with due diligence of selected transaction opportunities.
  • Deliver project, ad hoc and routine analysis to the M&A team and other group executives as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Qualified as a Chartered Accountant and/or CFA advantageous.
  • Professional memberships highly regarded.
  • Ideally 5-7 years' experience in analytical role within a Corporate M&A team, bank or transactional accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of key finance concepts, particularly in relation to M&A and debt and equity markets.
