Mental health clinicians play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to individuals requiring mental health support.
The role involves undertaking comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments and providing ongoing treatment in collaboration with consumers, families, carers, and other supportive agencies to achieve agreed goals and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Provide evidence-based clinical assessments, identify client needs, and develop risk management plans.
- Crisis Management: Coordinate crisis assessments and admissions to mental health inpatient units.
- Communication and Collaboration: Attend Mental Health Tribunals, ensuring consumers' rights are met under relevant legislation.
To be successful in this role, candidates will require recent clinical experience in a range of mental health settings, including inpatient and community mental health, and possess well-developed mental health assessment skills.
Able to prioritize workload and respond to crisis situations is essential.
