Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct near real-time surveillance of trading activities, systems, and reports to detect and report malpractice, market abuse, or price manipulation.
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly trading data reports from various systems to identify and detect suspicious activity.
  • Help to identify and mitigate risks by implementing control improvements in line with relevant policies, regulations, and agreements.
  • Support process documentation and stay updated on regulatory changes to support the education of trading personnel.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in surveillance technology, recommending updates to improve compliance and trading execution.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or related work experience, in compliance, mathematical, statistical, business, or a related discipline.
  • A methodical and systematic work approach.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills to engage, influence, and negotiate with a broad range of senior stakeholders.
