Operations Leader

Job Summary:
Our team is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics department. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing labor resources, coordinating dispatches, and promoting a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage labor resources to meet service level targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
- Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements.
- Promote a customer-first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability by linking management goals with practical means of achievement.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Address any issues or delays promptly to minimise disruptions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- A positive attitude and appetite to learn.
- Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential.
- An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.
- Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
- Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
