Our Sydney Office
Our Sydney office is one of the primary players within Asian markets, trading a range of products. Established in 1996, we're an active participant on the Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan exchanges, and act as Optiver's APAC head office.
What We Do
We provide liquidity to financial markets using our own capital, at our own risk, trading a wide range of products: listed derivatives, cash equities, ETFs, bonds, and foreign currencies.
Our Graduate Software Developer Program
As a Graduate Software Developer, you'll take ownership of critical projects right from the start. Whether it's developing ultra-low latency exchange protocol encoders and decoders, or fine-tuning our automated trading strategies and pricing models, your goal is to find the simplest and cleanest solution to the problem at hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-performing, low-latency designs that critically impact trading success
- Work closely with traders and other developers to identify and solve problems that make a tangible impact on the business
- Collaborate with the team to deliver low-latency, high-throughput systems that improve our connectivity to the financial market
- Participate in the development of position-taking strategies that predict price moves
- Contribute to the navigation of the world of automated trading – systems that make trading decisions

Eligibility
- A final year university student or recent graduate
- Studying a Computer Science, Software/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering, or similarly technical degree
- An Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or able to provide evidence of full working rights
