Coulson Aviation Australia, a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting leader Coulson Group of Companies, is seeking qualified Helicopter Pilots to join our team in Bell 412 Pilot Flight Operations.

We operate a high-paced year-round operation, conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, crew/equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation, and related operations in support of emergency services.

The chosen candidate will work in a team environment, conducting flights day and night, and must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires flexibility, working away from home base at short notice, and offers a competitive salary and an emphasis on work-life balance.

Job Description
  • Act as Pilot in Command of Bell 412EP helicopter in Firefighting operations and other missions as required by the company.
  • Conduct air transport and aerial work operations, such as Aerial Fire Suppression, Dispensing operations, External load, winching personnel, Intel, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search and Rescue, and other specialist operations.
  • Work on a roster away from home base for extended periods at a time.
  • Devote time to studying aircraft systems and be available for training and check-flights as required.
  • Maintain written and computerized flight logs and records.
  • Ensure all flights and operations follow CASA Regulations, Company Manuals, policies, and client SOP's.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Australian CPL(H)
  • 3000 hrs. Rotary Experience
  • Australian Class 1 Medical
  • HUET
  • CRM
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Low Level Firefighting rating
  • Low Level Sling Load Rating
  • Low Level Winch Rating
  • Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations.
