Job Overview:
- This role is responsible for selling storage products and solutions to assigned territories, industries, or accounts.
- The ideal candidate will actively prospect new storage opportunities and cultivate existing ones within assigned territories or accounts.
- Key responsibilities include managing sales activities, building sales pipelines, and driving opportunities to successful closure using internal sales tools.
- Additionally, the Storage Solutions Expert will formulate and expand solutions to generate additional product or service attachments and up-sell to increase revenue.
- The role also involves negotiating profitable deals, establishing professional relationships with clients, and understanding their unique business needs.
- Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including account managers and channel partners, are essential for this position.
- Finally, the Storage Solutions Expert will be responsible for growing the business, achieving overall financial metrics, and participating in general sales strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Typically 5 years of sales experience, preferably in storage related sales.
- Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota and interfaces with diverse business customers.
- Expertise to assess solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective, determine qualify-in/qualify-out status, and articulate technical solutions and commercial benefits to clients.
- Ability to independently conceptualize and articulate well-targeted storage solutions from proposal to contract sign-off.
- In-depth knowledge of storage, services, cloud, solutions, and differentiators between own offerings and competitors' offerings.
- Understanding of industry trends, staying abreast of competitors and key partner/ISV solutions.
- Knowledge of digital and modern methods to connect and sell.
