A Career as a Rural and Remote Case ManagerThis role offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a tangible difference in your community. As a Rural and Remote Case Manager, you will ensure high levels of community safety through effective case management of adults subject to community-based orders.
About This RoleIn this position, you will work according to assessed risk and need, maintaining high standards of assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision and improve reintegration and rehabilitation of individuals subject to community-based orders. You will also consult with relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations to assist in addressing Indigenous over-representation within the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management, staff, and internal and external stakeholders at all levels to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources, and other relevant issues.
- Work self-sufficiently and cope with the pace, complexity, and multi-tasking required in the operating environment.
- Demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework that underpins core service delivery areas.
- Build and manage ongoing working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Negotiate with key stakeholders who often have competing interests on sensitive and complex issues.
- Demonstrate well-developed written and oral communication skills.
This role requires travel and work across various locations, possession of a driver's license (minimum C class Australian license) is mandatory. Individuals employed on a permanent or temporary basis will be required to complete a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community). All activities and assessments associated with the Certificate IV must be completed within 12 months of commencing employment, and certification achieved within 18 months.
