Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will oversee the team responsible for warehouse activities, including inventory management and goods handling. This role involves ensuring efficient operations in receiving, storing, picking, and packing goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The Supervisor is expected to embody the core values of our company and continuously assess team performance and operational processes to drive departmental success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the warehouse and inventory management to ensure effective business functioning and accurate inventory documentation. Regularly assess the safety practices of team members and provide coaching to promote adherence to safe working methods. Ensure the safe unloading, receipt, storage, and handling of stock, adhering to all food safety protocols. Supervise the quality assurance of incoming goods and take necessary actions, including coordinating returns with suppliers. Assign daily tasks to warehouse staff based on provided schedules, conduct briefings, and enforce company policies when necessary. Manage the receipt and storage of supplier materials, ensuring zero loss and maintaining cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with inventory practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and quality assurance guidelines as per company policies. Assist in the management of the monthly inventory audit process.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment, particularly within the food industry, is highly preferred. Proven experience in supervising a warehouse team. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to broader business processes beyond specific responsibilities. A forklift license is a significant advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all employees.
