Job Title:

Healthcare Technologist


The role involves driving innovative technology solutions to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.


About the Position:
  • Develop and implement technology solutions across the Division for the implementation and ongoing delivery of virtual health services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and executive teams, stakeholders and SA Health e-Health services to implement and maintain service solutions and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in integrating digital health technologies into practice.
  • Contribute to reviewing, data collection and report writing documentation in relation to technology support.
  • Ensure compliance with Government and SA Health wide strategies, policies, guidelines, standards and procedures.
  • Provide immediate technology support and troubleshoot digital health related issues.
  • Install and configure desktop and mobile technology in a timely manner for clinical and non-clinical practitioners.
  • Assist in resolving infrastructure related incidents and service requests.

About You:
  • Ability to assume responsibility for complex digital technology projects including problem identification, planning, decision making, implementation and analysis of results.
  • Ability to provide consultancy services to staff at all levels, assisting in defining goals, requirements and proposing solutions.
  • Demonstrated advanced technical skills in maintenance of technologies and ability to identify technical issues and apply analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level technological support.
  • Demonstrated experience in working alone or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical support of computer hardware, software and peripherals.
