Our Commonwealth Government Client

Our client is a government department seeking an experienced FOI practitioner to join their Information Law team. The successful candidate will perform all functions required to manage FOI requests, including drafting emails, interpreting request scopes, and reviewing documents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and reviewing documents and consultation notices;
  • Interpreting the scope of requests and advising on statutory deadlines;
  • Updating matter management systems and contributing to weekly reporting;
  • Assisting with briefing and other reporting tasks;

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in FOI law and processing, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities under tight timelines. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
