Ecologist Consultant for Environmental Projects

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior or Principal Ecologist (Botanist) to join our Perth team, focusing on delivering quality project outcomes and developing Umwelt's profile for ecological projects across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage from Umwelt's strong ecology reputation to identify, win, lead, manage, and complete a wide range of ecological projects.
- Take ownership of all aspects of project delivery, maintaining and enhancing Umwelt's reputation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and fellow team members.
- Collect and interpret ecological and spatial data.
- Prepare and review reports to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Botany or related biological sciences) with 10+ years' relevant experience.
- Substantial ecological experience in one or multiple sectors: infrastructure, defence, resources, and extractive industry, or commercial development.
- Demonstrated experience as lead consultant for biodiversity survey and assessment requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a professional team.
