As a senior ecologist, you will contribute to our reputation for delivering high-quality ecological projects across Perth. You will work on diverse and technically challenging projects, including those in the renewable energy, infrastructure, and resource sectors.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking a senior botanist, zoologist, or generalist to join our highly respected national Ecology team. You will contribute to project management, field work, and assessments, as well as provide specialist advice to balance development, impact avoidance, and offsetting results.
About You- We are looking for an experienced Senior Ecologist with tertiary qualifications and 6+ years relevant experience.
- You should have a strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies.
- You will have terrestrial flora and/or fauna survey experience, including the capacity to plan surveys and coordinate field teams.
- Experience in project managing medium and large-scale development and/or biodiversity projects is essential.
- You should be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and fellow team members.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting and interpreting ecological and spatial data is required.
- You should have strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience in preparing and reviewing reports.
- A high degree of motivation, teamwork commitment, and flexibility are essential for this role.
