The Project Officer is a key member of our team, working closely with First Nations people, communities, and organisations to deliver relationship management support, engagement advice and on-ground insights in collaboration with our First Nations Policy and Engagement teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide project management support and administration skills, including contractual and financial reporting requirements within the program's portfolio.
- Contribute to Cultural Safety for First Nations people and company staff.
- Develop and maintain accurate and persuasive briefs, correspondence and communication materials as required.
- Able to take accountability for organising own workflow and develop internal and external relationships.
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes for the program.
- Making decisions within defined parameters relating to the area of responsibility, based on a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
This role offers a competitive salary package, including:
- Average annual salary: $91,650 (APS5) to $105,825 (APS6)
- Ongoing support: pre, during, and post placement
- Dedicated consultant per contract
- Employee Assistance Program available
- Suported by Karlka Recruiting Group in Indigenous communities
